Privacy Policy
Effective October 31, 2026
The short version: the Chapterpage app has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and there is no Chapterpage server. Your audiobooks, listening progress and bookmarks stay on your device. We don't collect your data, so we have nothing to sell or share.
This policy covers the Chapterpage audiobook app for iPhone and iPad ("Chapterpage", "the app") and this website.
What stays on your device
Chapterpage saves what it needs to work, only on your device:
- Your audiobooks: books you pick in the Files app stay where you keep them, and Chapterpage only reads them. Files you share to the app are copied into its own storage. The audio is never uploaded.
- Your library: each book's title, author, cover, chapters, length, your place in it, your speed, whether you've finished it, and when you added and last played it.
- Bookmarks and the notes you write on them.
- Settings, such as skip intervals, sort order and Clear Voice.
- Library backups, kept on the device so your library can be restored.
None of this is sent to us.
iCloud
If your books are in iCloud Drive, iOS may download them when you press play; that is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Where the app offers iCloud sync and you turn it on, your listening places, bookmarks and notes are stored in your own private iCloud database so your devices stay in step. We can't see or access that data, and the audio files themselves are not synced.
What the app doesn't do
- No account or sign-in.
- No analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or other third-party code in the app.
- No tracking across apps or websites, and no advertising identifier.
- No access to your microphone, camera, location, contacts or photos. Chapterpage only opens the files you pick.
Purchases
Chapterpage Pro is sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. The app only checks with Apple whether Pro is active on your Apple Account.
Crash reports
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may pass along crash reports and usage statistics without your name. You can turn this off at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
Children
Chapterpage doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Remove a book or a bookmark in the app, or delete the app to remove everything it stored on the device. Your original audiobook files in Files are never deleted by Chapterpage.
This website
The website (not the app) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies or tracking you across sites. The website has no ads. Like any website, the hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to run and protect the site.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
