Chapterpage FAQ
Short answers about files, chapters, your library, Pro and privacy.
What does Chapterpage do?
It plays audiobook files you already own on your iPhone or iPad: MP3 folders and M4B books, with chapters, speed, Clear Voice, a sleep timer and bookmarks, and it remembers your place in every book.
Which files can it play?
MP3, M4B, M4A, AAC, WAV, AIFF, CAF and FLAC, as long as they aren't copy-protected. A folder of MP3s becomes one book in track order (1, 2, 10, not 1, 10, 2), even with CD 1 / CD 2 subfolders.
Can it play DRM-protected store books?
No. DRM-protected books only play in the app of the store that sold them. Chapterpage plays DRM-free files, and it doesn't sell audiobooks.
Where does it get chapters?
From M4B and M4A chapter lists, MP3 chapter frames, OverDrive MP3 chapter markers and a .cue sheet next to a single file. In a folder without chapter data, each track is a chapter.
Does Chapterpage move or change my files?
No. Books you pick in the Files app are played where they are, and Chapterpage never moves, rewrites or deletes the originals. Removing a book from the library doesn't touch the original file. Files you share to Chapterpage from another app are copied in.
What happens if my library gets damaged?
Chapterpage backs up your library (places, bookmarks and settings) before updates and once a day, keeps the newest five, and checks the library after each update. If something is wrong, it restores the newest backup by itself and tells you. You can also restore a backup in Settings › Backups.
Is Clear Voice free?
Yes. Clear Voice, speed, chapters, bookmarks and the sleep timer are all free. Chapterpage Pro adds silence trim.
What does Chapterpage Pro cost?
The plans and prices are shown in the app before you buy. Pro is billed by Apple, and Pro lifetime works with Family Sharing.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later.
When can I get it?
Chapterpage is coming soon to the App Store, with a TestFlight beta first. Questions before then: support@chapterpageapp.com.
